Who will know?
My life, like a dead leaf, wanders,
Follows the wind, travels countries to countries,
No place to call home, but people,
So ties I make, communities I find.
My life, one day, will end,
Like a sudden blow, the flame will go,
Leaving the feeling of void, missing,
Someone used to hold that place.
My life, in cries, will call you,
The people, the communities,
“don’t forget me, don’t let me go”,
But the fear lasts, who will know?
My life, sadly, has discovered the trap,
The cage, the fences, the space,
Between me and you, my soul and yours,
Disconnected, left isolated, alone, and sad;
My life, in pain and fear, wants to leave a mark,
A note for you, my love, a last word for you, my heart,
I want you to know and never let me go,
My light is gone, but your memory of me is my new home.
From the bottom of my heart, though I am dead, my love for you will keep burning like the brightest star.
