Dismantling Imperialism From An Afro Perspective (PT.II) (a collaboration with UChicago Students)

This quarter, we are exploring some current anti-imperialist struggles spearheaded by African people, from the diaspora to the continent. We will discuss the liberation struggle of the Saharwi people and connect it to Africans’ commitment to fight any form of occupation. We will talk about the US occupation in Haiti and the evil of neocolonialism. We will explore the nature of French colonialism that is still economically oppression the African people in Kanaki, Martinique, and Guadeloupe. Finally, to finish with a word of hope, we will discuss the nucleus of Modern Revolutionary Pan-Africanism embodies by the people and leaders of the AES.
